We Heard You! is a series focusing on the exciting new developments occurring at Albizu University as a result of your feedback! AU takes students’ concerns and celebrations seriously, and your voice helps improve our environment!
You spoke during last year’s Student Satisfaction Survey, and the Department of Student Affairs heard you! Only 66% of students were satisfied with the student lounge space last year, and Dean De Llanos and the department have jumpstarted the creation of a new and improved lounge to meet your needs.
Set to open by the end of the summer, the student lounge is undergoing a facelift that will include a multi-purpose gathering space with a group table, high-top workstations, café tables, a free library, and seating for reading. The renovated space will allow students to work in groups, enjoy food and beverages from the healthy vending machines, and study.
AU cares about creating an environment where students feel comfortable connecting with their peers for academic and social purposes. The new student lounge is an exciting step toward fostering that environment!
