A Master of Science (M.S.) in Speech-Language Pathology is a graduate-level program designed to prepare students for a career in diagnosing and treating individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders.
The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MSLP) program at Albizu University is offered in both residential and distance education formats. Our program is dedicated to preparing the next generation of innovative and lifelong learning professionals in the field of speech-language pathology. The program empowers students to know, appreciate, and respect cultural and linguistic diversity, as they develop into successful leaders within the speech-language pathology profession and in society at large.
The residential education program provides students with a variety of clinical exposure to work with clients and hands-on experience under the supervision of a certified speech-language pathologist. The student attends 2 weeks (separate weeks) in-person/on-campus for hands-on labs and clinical experiences.
Our graduates go on to successful careers in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, schools, universities, and private practice. Upon completion, our graduates are highly qualified and marketable clinicians.
Students can expect synchronous and asynchronous clinical seminars/workshops, coursework (Fridays and Saturdays, 9 AM to 5 PM), and clinical practica during the week. In addition, externships will require a minimum of 4-5 days per week (full-time) at the clinical site assigned.
