Biografía
Dr. Eftekhari is a versatile economist with a Ph.D. in Economics from Howard University, specializing in Health Economics, Public Policy, and Urban Economics. With over a decade of experience, she actively contributed to numerous funded research projects during both her Ph.D. and master's studies. As the primary contributor, she excelled in data collection, aggregation, cleaning, and analysis, showcasing expertise in statistical and econometric techniques. Her professional journey includes roles as an economic consultant and data analyst in reputable public sectors and consulting firms.
Her noteworthy job market paper explored the impact of Medicaid expansion on the health wellbeing of Social Security beneficiaries. Dr. Eftekhari successfully secured grants from the Institute for Research on Poverty (IRP) and the Center for Financial Security (CFS) at the University of Wisconsin Madison for this research.
Furthermore, her research extended to studying the effects of payday loans on the financial wellbeing of social security beneficiaries and the health conditions of their borrowers.
