Biography
Born in Gurabo Puerto Rico. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Social Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico and oba Master's and a Doctorate in Organizational Industrial Psychology from Albizu University, then called the Caribbean Center for Postgraduate Studies. He worked in the pharmaceutical industry serving as Director of Public Relations at GSK. He was also Director of Community Relations and Public Affairs at Pfizer.
He has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the UCA since 2002 being president of the board of trustees and chairing some committees of the board. He held the position of interim President of the UCA for a period of one year. He is married to Dr. Ana M Díaz, Ph.D. in clinical psychology and they have three children, Ana Teresa, Jorge and Julio Esteban. He currently carries out community work in several non-profit organizations.
