Periodicals as well as references books do not circulate.
Alumni are allowed to check out books from the circulating collection. Please check with one our staff members at our Circulation Desk or to the Library Policies Manual (LINK) for more information, 305-593-1223 ext.3131.
Printing from personal laptops is not available at this time. You can save your document to a flash drive or you can send it to your e-mail and use one of the 2 quick print stations to the left of the Circulation Desk.
You can recall an item that is checked out if more than one person places a recall request; they will be placed in a queue based on the date of their request.
Students, faculty or staff may initiate a recall for an item at any time. Recalled books and scores will be due back on the original due date or in 2 weeks, whichever occurs first. Multimedia materials may also be recalled (DVDs, CDs) but the due date will not be adjusted due to the shorter loan periods. Items recalled by library staff to be placed on course reserve are due back on the original due date.
It is prohibited to library staff from releasing Library records, which contain names or other personally identifying details regarding the users of the University, including but not limited to records related to the circulation of library materials.
Credit cards are not accepted at this time; however, you may pay your library fines with a Credit Card at the Finance Office at 305-593-1223 ext. 3109 or 3112.
No, unfortunately we do not have a color printer at this time.
As a general rule, the Library does not collect textbooks for courses offered at the College. Faculty sometimes place copies of textbooks or chapters from texts on reserve. These books are located at the Circulation Desk, to request the use of one of them; you will be asked to provide your student ID which we will keep until the item is returned.
All E-reserves are now accessed via BlackBoard; students can access electronic reserves under the "Course Reserves" Link on their course's Blackboard site. Users log-in with their SunMail username and password.
