The Child Psychology concentration is designed for students specializing in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. Students are trained to use the developmental model to conceptualize behavioral and emotional disorders in youths. Special emphasis is placed on evidenced-based interventions with youths and their families. In addition to the core curriculum required of all Psy.D. students, the specific courses required for the Child Psychology concentration are: Child Psychology (CPSY700), Child Psychopathology (CPSY701), Child Psychotherapy (CPSY702), Child and Adolescent Assessment (CPSY703), and Children at Risk (CPSY704)
